In a year that marked the 1,000th day of the Ukraine war, the British Royal family received 2 health blows and Paris hosted the summer Olympics. Trump returned to the White House (4 months after appearing in court) and Labour won its 1st UK General Election in 14 years. Things at Tom’s Cottage were more sedate. But nothing stands still, even here.
